A tower defense strategy game, Savage Moon takes place, well, on a moon. Seems like we humans have used up our resources on Earth and have found what we need on some remote moons. There’s just one catch: giant bugs live there. Reminds me of Starship Troopers. It’s your job to protect the mining colony from the Insectocytes by placing towers in strategic spots around the base. The pests will come out of the ground in certain spots and you have to blast them away before they wreak havoc. At first all you will have are turrets, which are fine and good, for maybe the first few waves. Once you earn enough money from destroying enemies you have the option to upgrade your turrets or choose different technologies at your disposal. One particular weapon is the mine thrower. Sometimes they have a habit of placing mines in the worst locations not destroying a single thing. Also, the turrets don’t always behave as you want them to. They will switch off of their target, leaving the job unfinished. Now, as a ninja, I can not allow that. We do have a problem with the camera as well. There is no way to zoom out to show a larger battlefield, leaving you wondering in which direction the attack is coming from. The graphics are good for a tower defense game and its always nice to hear a scream from a huge dying cockroach but after a while it seems a little pointless. Good for a couple of tries but overall not worth buying. Needs some improvement. Only available for download on the Playstation Network.
I give it 2 Ninja Stars!
