The Wii is getting a new gizmo. Its called the MotionPlus and it’s promising to enhance the motion sensing capability of the Wii controllers. It will use gyroscopes to sense your motions, making it more sensitive and accurate than the controllers they have today. It will come out sometime in June and you will have the option of buying it bundled up with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for $49.99 or separately for $19.99. There’s only a few other games coming out that will be able to use the increased sensitivity. We’ll see how it handles Red Steel 2 when that time comes. Keep checking in for updates on this and all the latest developments.

Want to learn how you can get paid to play video games? Become a video game tester. In 2008, the video game industry was over a $50 billion dollar business and video game companies are cutting people off a slice of that to test their games and try to find bugs within them. What could be sweeter than getting new games for free and then getting paid to try them? It’s a dream job. Check out gametestingground.com if you want to get in on this.

Alright, I’ll admit it. Jedi’s might just be the only one’s that could stand toe to toe with a ninja. Lucas Arts has done it again with this game that takes place between the events of Episode III and Episode IV. Play as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice sent out on the hunt to take out the jedi. He comes complete with all his powers including force push, grip, repulse and lightning. Enjoy being able to use them in amazing combinations. And he is one bad sith. He wont just push you to the wall, he’ll push you through the wall. Much like Knights of the Old Republic, the choices you make will affect the outcome of the story. The Wii version will include a one on one duel battle mode. The graphic aren’t as good as the other consoles but being able to use the force powers by motions was enjoyable. Sometimes the camera angles were a problem and locking onto objects to grab will need some getting used to, but overall a very good game.

Wii Exercise Games
If you have heard about Wii Fit then you know how game developers are trying to bring more exercise into the living room through the use of their motion sensitive controllers, nunchucks and balance boards. Wii Fit consisted mostly of calisthetics and yoga exercises. To many it did not seem like a complete system. Soon however the Wii will be coming out with more challenging titles that will give you more of a workout. They are geared more towards the ones who are looking to get a good sweat going. One particular game I’m interested in is EA Sports Active. This game can be personalized to target certain areas or you can take a 30 day challenge and have the game track your progress. This game will include tension bands and a leg band to tuck your nunchuck in so it can track your body movements. If you are not performing the exercises properly it will know and tell you how to correct it. It will be released May 19th 2009 for the price of $59.99.
Another very promising game is My Fitness Coach. It features 480 different exercises in strength training, cardio and yoga. My Fitness Coach will set you up with your own personal trainer who will motivate you during your workout. You can set up an exercise program to get to your goals and check your progress. With that many exercises you can expect a higher degree of activity and be motivated to continue. It was released December 3rd 2008 for the the great price of $29.99.
