One of our scout ninjas has come back fatally wounded from a mission infiltrating Microsoft. He had this to report before giving his last breath: there are rumors of Xbox designing their own motion-sensing technology. While he was not able to bring back evidence to support his claim he did state that it will be able to detect full body motions without the need of any controllers such as in the case of one of their rivals, the Nintendo Wii. Much blood has been shed between these two organizations. Imagine being able to punch, kick, run, dodge, duck, dip, and dive without any clumsy controllers getting in your way. Microsoft neither confirms nor denies these allegations but we assure you: we will get to the bottom of this. Our ninja fought bravely to escape the clutches of Microsoft but his injuries were just too extensive. He will be avenged.

Just one word to describe this game: ninjalicious! What? It’s a word. Look it up in the ninja dictionary. Finally, a game rated M for mature…and for good reason! Wolverine shows why he is the best at what he does, which I guess is slicing and dicing any that stand in his way. He has studied the way of the samurai at some point of his long life, as any real Wolverine fan knows. Even just the opening scene to the game is a thing of beauty. Watch as he slaughters through a team of elite commandos in the most grusome, bloodiest, and most awesome way you may have ever seen in a videogame. A definite must have.

Want to learn how you can get paid to play video games? Become a video game tester. In 2008, the video game industry was over a $50 billion dollar business and video game companies are cutting people off a slice of that to test their games and try to find bugs within them. What could be sweeter than getting new games for free and then getting paid to try them? It’s a dream job. Check out gametestingground.com if you want to get in on this.

With the ever growing population of zombies out there, there is always the threat of throwing the environment out of whack. We ninjas have always been eco-friendly but we can’t do it all by ourselves. We could always use a little help keeping the zombies in check.
This is where our friend Chuck Greene comes in. He’s always doing his part for the environment. Taking them down with anything he can find, from a double chainsaw ended staff to a moose head ramming into herds of those pesky zombies. He even hooked up two chainsaws to the handlebars of his bike (now that’s what I call recycling). You can do some serious mayhem with that thing.
So pick up a copy of Dead Rising 2 and remember, always have your zombies spayed or neutered…or beheaded if you like. This has been a public service announcement from the Review Ninjas.

Alright, I’ll admit it. Jedi’s might just be the only one’s that could stand toe to toe with a ninja. Lucas Arts has done it again with this game that takes place between the events of Episode III and Episode IV. Play as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice sent out on the hunt to take out the jedi. He comes complete with all his powers including force push, grip, repulse and lightning. Enjoy being able to use them in amazing combinations. And he is one bad sith. He wont just push you to the wall, he’ll push you through the wall. Much like Knights of the Old Republic, the choices you make will affect the outcome of the story. Sometimes the camera angles were a problem and locking onto objects to grab will need some getting used to, but overall a very good game.

Another in a great line of games from Rockstar, Midnight Club L.A. surpasses previous racing games in every way. Play online with up to 16 players as you race through the amazingly reconstructed streets of modern day Los Angeles. Drive with over 40 vehicles including muscle cars, tuners, exotics, motorcycles and luxury cars in the largest map to date. We are partial to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX14. The level of customization and detail you can achieve is amazing. Choose from lots of aftermarket parts, create your own decals, and top it off by designing your own custom interiors. Although at first it will take a little while to download the maps, after that, even with the level of realism, there’s hardly any load time! It’s all about speed and all about style with Midnight Club L.A., just watch out for the cops. This may prove to be your #1 racing game.

One of the best multiplayer games ever to be played on the xbox, Gears of War 2 takes place just six months after the events of the original. Rejoin Marcus Fenix, Dominic Santiago as well as some new characters as they battle the Locust Horde. And that is not the only thing that is new. There are some nice additions to the GoW arsenal. Take pleasure in the use of the flamethrower and the ink grenades. Stand in awe of the highly detailed maps. The vehicles are bigger, the enemies are more dangerous (expect some chainsaw battles!) and the action is more intense. With the ability to play with up to 10 players online, that makes for even more exciting gameplay. There has also been some new game features added to the game like the ability to stick grenades to walls. One nice perk is to be able to pick up an enemy and use him as a meat shield (very handy). It is a definite must have worthy of being in anyone’s collection.

Watch your back! That’s what you’ll hear while playing through this non-stop action zombie shooter. There are only 4 survivors left and a town full of zombies. Pretty straightforward mission: survive, shoot, get to safe point. Sounds simple yet highly entertaining. Choose one of 4 different characters and pack enough heat to survive through 4 different campaigns. We know what you are thinking. Only four campaigns? But it works out because each level changes making for a unique experience every time.
This is a great game for a first person shooter and has high replay value. Rated for mature audiences, it offers pretty good graphics and the choice to play with up to eight players. The AI is pretty good. Computer characters will revive you if you need it and knows not to all reload at the same time. However, sometimes they will just stand in the way on occasion. When you play online you have the option to play as a human or as one of the four types of infected zombies. Don’t get too close to the boomer. He’s one big fat zombie that’s a little on the slow side but makes up for it by throwing up some nasty stuff that will attract a whole lot of trouble if it gets on you. Boomers are bad news, but they got nothing on witches. And the tank?…well, we’ll just let you see for yourself. Alone you are dead meat, together you might just have a chance.

Ok, admit it… Fear made you have to change your pants at one point didn’t it? Well Fear 2: Project Origin will leave you crying for your mommy! It is highly recommended that you leave your lights on while you play but if you really want to feel your skin crawl, your spine tingle, and your hair stand on end, then by all means, play at night, with the lights out, by yourself. Everything about this game has been upgraded, from the character AI to the the way blood splatters across the scene. And there will be LOTS of blood.
Play as Sgt. Michael Beckett of the Special Forces as he fights to survive against Alma’s supernatural powers. There will be new enemies and lots of new weapons. One of the new enemies you will encounter are the remnants. If you get too close to one they will give out a scream that will disorient you. But that’s not the worst of it. Remnants have the power to control any of the dead bodies that happen to be in the vicinity. They will look for anything that they can use to attack you. This game will make you scream for more, or just leave you screaming altogether.

Ninja or Not???
Every month we will present a character, give reasons for and against them, and decide if they are worthy of bearing the name of ninja. You will have the opportunity to vote on their skills, style, and overall ninjaness.
